WHCA Player of the Year Winner Announced

The winner of the 2019-2020 WHCA Player of the Year is Brady Snedden of Northland Pines.  Brady and the other finalist were honored at the WHCA banquet held in Madison during state tournament weekend.

GEORGE BAUMANN FRIENDS OF HOCKEY RECIPIENT

It is with great honor that the WHCA recognize Rusty Mitch as its 2020 recipient of the George Baumann Friends of Hockey award.  Rusty played youth, high school and college hockey in Stevens Point.  He began his coaching career at Stevens Point Pacelli with stops at UW Stevens Point, SPASH and finally at Pacelli as the head coach.  Since retiring from coaching Rusty has continued to support the WHCA as a major sponsor (Portesi Pizza) of the annual WHCA State Tournament banquet.

ACADEMIC WINNER ANNOUNCED

Mosinee was recognized at the state tournament banquet as the 2019/2020 First Choice Dental Academic State Champion.  

BOB JOHNSON COACH OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED

Carl Valimont of Arrowhead was recognized as the Bob Johnson/WHCA Coach of the Year for 2019-2020.  Below are the other finalist for this award.

Winner of the 2020 Jeff Sauer Award announced

Award encourages community service among HS players

Ava Jambor of the Metro Lynx was recognized as the Jeff Sauer Award Winner for the 2019/2020 season.  She along with finalist Adam Manske were recognized at the WHCA state tournament banquet.

The WHCA assistant coaches of the year for 2019-2020 have been announced.  These coaches are chosen by their piers for each sectional.
